Interview Skills

Knowing how to interview effectively for jobs is vital to being hired.  Here's what employers say they are looking for. Are you ready?

  • Be prepared for the questions you know will be asked: "Why this type of work?", "Why this organization?", "What have you done that would make us hire you?"
  • Be comfortable with yourself. Know the job description and be ready to say why you're suited for the job.
  • Market yourself, as in, 'This is what I have to offer you.'
  • Have specific examples on the tip of your tongue.
  • Show your enthusiasm. Reveal your passions and confidence. Know your strengths and accomplishments.
