Chapel Services
The St. Francis College Chapel is open at all times.  It is available for quiet prayer and personal reflection for everyone.

Catholic Mass with Eucharist is celebrated in the chapel on Monday 12:30 P.M. Visiting clergy, often college alumni, preside at the liturgy. Students can be trained and certified on-campus through Campus Ministry to serve as Lectors and/or Eucharistic Ministers at Mass. See Sister Colleen to register for training.

An ecumenical Midday Prayer is held at 12:30 on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. On Wednesday a Holy Hour beginning with a Rosary for peace and continuing with  Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament is held from 12:00-1:00; people are welcome for quiet prayer for any part of that hour. During Lent, Stations of the Cross are conducted at 12:30P.M. on Fridays.

College Choir
For the Fall 2007 semester, the College Choir rehearses on Thursdays from 3:30-5:30 in room 5301. The choir performs a Christmas Concert, Spring Concert and during Baccalaureate ceremonies. New members are always welcome. Sign up at Campus Ministry.

Community Service
Part of the mission of Campus Ministry is to foster social responsibility through community service. Our student volunteers give one or two hours per week in agencies throughout Brooklyn and the other boroughs and/or several more hours at special events. Some serve on campus in departments such as Academic Enhancement.

St. Francis College Scholars have a service requirement as part of their scholarship.  This requirement can be fulfilled through the Campus Ministry opportunities in the neighborhoods.

Counseling / Chat-n-Chew
Individual counseling is available to all members of the college community by the Director and Assistant Director of Campus Ministry, as well as through the professional staff of the College's Wellness Center. Peer Counselors are available in the Campus Ministry booth (room 1304) 4 days a week. Also, look for “Chat-n-Chew” sessions in the cafeteria where you can speak one-to-one with peers who are trained and ready to assist you.

RCIA
St. Francis College's Campus Ministry provides instruction and preparation for the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). Classes are offered for students interested in Baptism, as well as for Catholics who have not yet received First Communion and/or Confirmation. Classes meet once a week, beginning in September, and lead to reception of the Sacraments at St. James' Cathedral in downtown Brooklyn during the Easter season. Sign up in September at Campus Ministry. (If you are already baptized, please bring your Baptismal Certificate or related documents or information).

Retreats
Campus Ministry sponsors Days and Evenings of Recollection each semester, and some weekend retreat experiences in conjunction with other colleges. Check the Campus Ministry bulletin board in the McArdle Student Center for retreat announcements.
