Guy Carlsen - CIO – Ext. 5468
Since May 2006, Guy is the Chief Information Officer responsible for the Information Technology Department and the Library. Guy has worked in several capacities with the College starting with his appointment as the first Director of Student Financial Services and then the Director of Planning and Institutional Research. He received his B.A. in English from St. Michael’s College and his M.A. in Public Administration from Pace University. Prior to joining the College Guy finished many years in the New York City’s Comptroller’s Office as the Assistant Deputy Comptroller of Audit. Earlier, he was Comptroller of Rye, NY.

Matthew C. Hogan - Director of IT Operations – Ext. 5447
Matt graduated from St. Francis College in 2001. He has worked in the College’s IT department in various capacities since 1999.  Currently Matt is the Director of IT Operations; he oversees the IT Department’s day-to-day operations as well as the College’s long term technology needs. Matt’s team primarily focuses on the College’s network infrastructure, server administration, training, and interaction with Instructional Computing.  

Jaime Chauca - Director of Network Operations – Ext. 5426
Jaime graduated from St. John’s University with a BS in Computer Science and received his MBA from Pace University. He has been working in the Information Technology Department for the past five years. During that time, he has held several positions within the department. Currently, as the Director of Network Operations, Jaime oversees the College’s servers and network infrastructure.  He is also an  IT Adjunct Professor at St. Francis.

Lloyd “Chris” McNeil – Director of Support Services
 - Ext. 5431
A graduate of PACE University with a degree in Information Systems, Lloyd “Chris” McNeil has been developing and supporting systems and customer user groups for nearly a decade and a half. He has worked on providing support to users in the largest Publishing houses in NY as well as international clients in the Shipping Industry. Chris, as he likes to be called, moved to the educational field initially working at Sarah Lawrence College, providing application development and technical support for the Development Office prior to joining St Francis College to implement user support services

Susan Mulderrig – Technology Training Associate – Ext. 5319
Sue is a Brooklyn College graduate with a BS and an MS in Secondary Education. She began her employment as Secretary to SFCs first CIO, Gino Menchini, back in July 1998. She now serves as Technology Training Associate with her main focus on creating training materials, conducting group and individual training sessions regarding various computer applications as well as departmental procedures and practices for Administrators and Staff.

Jerome Williams - Director of Telecommunications – Ext. 5436
Working over 20 years as Director of Telecommunications at St Francis College, Jerome has experience in Telecommunications technology, systems and project management. He works closely with faculty, administration, and staff to give recommendations and advice on the use of communications equipment and network printer/copier equipment as well as managing related supporting software applications and innovations. He is responsible for coordination of technical support for telecommunications systems as well as wireless mobile communications, and works with land line and cellular carriers to ensure users’ continued quality network-connectivity. He also manages the in Document Services staff and in mail processing operations throughout the college.

Bartholomew Mugan - Administrative Application Manager – ext 5494
Bart graduated from St. John’s University with a B.S. degree in Computer Science and pursued a career in Software Development in Application Development. Later he pursued a Master’s Degree in Computer Science at Lehman College where he worked with many of the theoretical aspects of Computer Science which included neural networks and image processing. He began developing software for the banking industry which included S.W.I.F.T. (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication), Fedwire, and ATM. He moved on to Higher Ed. and has been working in the field for over 10 years, working as Senior Programmer, System Administrator and Network Manager. Currently he’s the Administrative Application Manager at FrancisCollege, managing the college’s ERP System, and has received certifications in Java and AIX Unix.

Richard Vierling - Datatel Database Administrator – Ext. 5320
Hired as a Fortran programmer in 1980, Rich has seen the College’s computer technology evolve from punch cards to integrated networks, and his responsibilities have evolved accordingly. He currently administers user security and data distribution for the College’s enterprise database has developed numerous critical administrative processes within the Datatel Colleague Environment. Rich was born in Brooklyn, but has lived most of his life in Queens. His alma maters are Stony Brook and Columbia University where he received a Masters degree in Urban Planning.

Andrew El-Kadi - Datatel Database Analyst – Ext.  5418

With more than 10 years of experience in technology, Andrew has more recently been working on technology within Higher Ed. He administers the college’s enterprise card swipe and library systems and, among other roles, also assists with administering/troubleshooting the enterprise-wide (ERP) Student Information System (SIS). He is a native of Brooklyn but also lived in Southern California for 10 years. St. FrancisCollege is Andrew’s alma mater and he is proud to serve the College’s needs as an administrator today.
