Q: How can I get my username and password?

A: You can get a printout of your username and password by visiting the Help Desk room 4209. Please note that for security purposes we do not give out passwords over telephone or email.

Q: I don’t have a problem logging into a computer on campus but I cannot access my email through the web. Am I doing something wrong?

A: When accessing email through the St. Francis College website you will need to enter terrier\username and your password in the field below for windows XP or Vista Operating Systems and username password and domain, please see link below for directions. How about we put a link here to the OWA documentation?

Q: I am teaching a class in a “SMART” classroom, what kind of technology is available?

A: All SMART classrooms are equipped with a sympodium that has a computer, and uses projection to displays on a touch sensitive smartboard a DVD/VCR combo unit is also available. All podiums also have laptop connections.

Q: How can I change my password?

A: While you are logged in to a computer on campus press Ctrl+Alt+Delete. From the menu box that appears select “Change Password”. Please note that currently you can ONLY change your password while on campus.

Q: Can I forward my St. Francis email to a personal email account?

A: It is not the current practice to allow forwarding of St. Francis Admin Accounts.

Q: Where can I save my files?

A: All St. Francis College employees are provided their own network drive which can be accessed from any computer on campus

Q. Can I use my own personal laptop on campus?

A: For security reasons personal laptops (those not owned by SFC) may not be connected to the College's Local Area Network (LAN) at any time for.   Faculty members may use their personal systems to access the Internet on campus via the College's WIFI services. For their own safety users are urged to read and understand the disclaimer displayed upon connection to the WIFI network.  Please be advised that users connected to the College's WIFI network will not have access to the College's LAN,(Local Area Network) which means they will not have access to their home storage on the Network, email via Outlook, or printing. They will, however, have access to Outlook via the Internet (OWA)
