FINANCING YOUR EDUCATION
If you are in the preliminary stages of the college search, the word "scholarship" can be just another one of those confusing college terms. But keep in mind, scholarships are one of the most attractive forms of financial aid because they don't have to be repaid. It is money that can help students finance a significant portion of their education.
 
Higher education is one of the best investments you will make for your future. St. Francis College works closely with students and parents to help them achieve their dream of a solid SFC education.

SCHOLARSHIPS
St. Francis College offers more than $12 million in scholarships and financial aid to students who have impressive academic records, outstanding performance on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)  and potential for academic excellent in college. (SAT Exam Code: 2796)
 
INCOMING FRESHMEN
High School students currently in their senior year and who have taken the SAT may be considered for the following scholarships. They are based on the cost of tuition and fees ($18,100 for 2011-12) and are renewable every year provided full-time status, a four-year enrollment and a cumulative 3.0 grade point average are maintained. Presidential scholars must maintain a 3.5 GPA.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS
Students will be considered for an academic achievement grant ranging from $3,000 to $6,000 per year for four years of undergraduate study. These awards are given to the most deserving students who have not received one of the academic scholarships listed above.
 

TRANSFER STUDENTS
Your eligibility is strictly based on the academic grade point average (GPA) from all colleges that you previously attended. If you scored high on the SAT (verbal and math sections) or ACT and you submit your official scores before your first semester at St. Francis College, you may be eligible for an increase in your award. All scholarships are renewable for a maximum of eight semesters (four years) and may only be used in fall and spring terms provided that you are enrolled as a full-time student and maintain the minimum GPA as illustrated in the chart below.

Note: All freshman scholarships are renewable annually for a four-year/eight-semester period for the amounts stipulated above and all transfer scholarships are renewable each year until degree conferral, provided full-time status and a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 are maintained.
