What a Degree in Accounting and Business Law Can Do for You

Have you ever dreamed of owning your own business? How about being the CEO or CFO of a large corporation? What about becoming a partner in an international financial services firm or a partner in your own small CPA firm?  When you earn a degree from the department of Accounting and Business Law at St. Francis College, all this and more is possible.

With anticipated job growth of more than 25 percent by the year 2010, accounting is currently one of America’s hottest career fields. In fact, some of today’s most successful and influential people got their starts as accountants. They include:

The Accounting and Business Law Department at St. Francis College seeks to provide all management and accounting majors with the appropriate skills, knowledge and abilities to become successful professionals.  The College offers a five year Master’s program in Accounting.  Our program prepares students for careers in public accounting, private accounting (corporate), or not-for-profit accounting (government agencies, foundations and associations such as hospitals, religious organizations and arts groups). Our internship programs help students gain the practical experience they’ll need to become successful members of today’s business world.

Graduates from St. Francis College’s Accounting program have gone on to graduate programs from New York University Law School, Harvard Business School, and many metropolitan area colleges and universities. St Francis Alumni currently hold jobs at all of the Big Four Accounting firms (Deloitte & Touche, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, KPMG) and many mid-size accounting firms throughout New York City.  Some notable alumni who graduated from the St. Francis College Accounting program include:
