Graduate Studies.  With a degree in Communication Arts from St. Francis College, you can have a career in any of these fields or be ready to continue your education at the graduate level.
 
Students in the Communications Arts department receive extensive training in oral communication and presentation skills, and have access to cutting-edge technology such as a new High Definition TV studio, a new computer lab dedicated to video editing and advertising design, and a multi-purpose black box theater fully equipped with professional sound and lighting.

The Communication Arts department at St. Francis College offers a wide range of courses in advertising, film and broadcasting, voice, theater and related areas. Communications majors choose from one of four concentrations: advertising and public relations; film and broadcasting; speech and theater; and English and Communications as they prepare for careers or graduate education. The program’s wide range of successful graduates provides an excellent network for mentoring and employment. Internships available to qualified juniors and seniors build on the program’s deep roots in New York City’s communication industries.

St. Francis College Communication Arts alumni have gone on to work at ABC, NBC, CNN, MTV, J. Walter Thompson, Lifetime, SciFi Channel, E! Television, SNY and GRock. Others are currently studying at, or have completed their graduate degrees at institutions such as NYU, Columbia, Ohio State University, Boston University and The New School for Social Research.
