As a professor-scholar Dr. Wolfe values original research that involves her undergraduate students. As a result her students are successful in giving presentations at national conferences such as the American Chemical Society and NOBCChE. Her articles have appeared in journals like
The Journal of Coordinating Chemistry. Her scholarly interests focuses on the FT-IR Spectra of amines and amides to detect their significance in proteins, analytical determination of curcumin in curry leaf used for medicinal purposes by HPLC and GC-MS, and anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties from the stem and leaves of eryngium foetidum (shadow benny). Her accomplishments resulted in her nomination and membership in
Project Kaleidoscope's Faculty for the 21 Century sponsored by the National Science Foundation. She is the recipient of the Franciscan Spirit Award, two Faculty Recognition Day Awards and serves as a faculty mentor for the National Institute of Health (NIH) Undergraduate Scholarship Program (UGSP).
